The Intersect is working with Mural Arts Philadelphia on a new mural featuring basketball legend and North Philadelphia native Dawn Staley. Six time WNBA all-star and renowned coach of the University of South Carolina women’s basketball team, Coach Staley is known internationally for her talent, grit, tenacity, and ability to break barriers.
Mural Arts Philadelphia is the nation’s largest public art program and has partnered with all of the city’s professional sports teams for over 30 years. They have collaborated with athletes and team management to engage with communities across the city and connect with the issues important to Philadelphians.
The Intersect will help manage the mural project, including working with the local community on project awareness and approvals, selecting a wall for the artwork, and raising capital. Show your support for the mural by signing the petition!
